Best company party!!!

Last night was the best party night that I have ever had with my colleagues. I have had similar ones with friends but not my colleagues. Almost all of us were drunk to the max. We decided that it wont be fun if we don’t complete the party without some thigh food... oops I meant Thai food.. ;)..

The occasion: someone celebrated their 5yr anniversary at the company, another one was going for a 14 month project outside US. But seriously we just needed a reason to party...

I reached home early in the morning, I have no clue about what time I reached home, must be very late cuz I feel like I slept only for 1 hour.

Fun Filled Last Week

Thanks to Tikku, my last week was lot of fun... we hanged out a lot, checked out lot of pubs and bars in downtown boston area.. we drank whiskey like a hog...

I love Boston. Living in such a small town for so long, I am desperate to move to any big city. I would be surprised if someone finds this town on google maps. It sucks so bad. There is N.O.T.H.I.N.G in this town..

The best part was when we made conf calls to our friends in India.

I.E Sucks!!!!!! Can't stress more.

I am fedup with this I.E crap. Why don't they just follow the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) standards? Anyone who knows to edit a style-sheet (.css) will know the pain.

I wanted to edit my template to include my game character in my header. After a few modifications to the template I did a quick preview. Everything looked perfect but after I publish, my blogs look different in I.E and Mozilla. Mozilla has the right format that I wanted but I.E does not obey my code. I have defined every attribute that it wants but still it gets confused. I am so freaking frustrated today. I spent more than an hour trying to fix it and finally gave up. I tried it on I.E 7.0beta2 and Firefox 1.5.0

To all I.E supporters, Please ask your IE to follow W3C.

Tennessee!

(This is a blog that I created 3 days back. Posting it today!)

This weekend I am traveling to Tennessee, I did not know about it till past Monday. I hope to meet up with my old buddies. Will it be fun? Should be, I think. We have planned a major get together, 8 of us are going to meet up but as usual one guy called me at the very last minute and said “I am not sure”. I hate it when people do that to me (though I have done it many times) anyways I hope this will be a good trip.

Eager to meet up with my ex-colleagues, reminds me of old times. I haven’t told any of them about my trip. I am planning to give them a surprise. You may wonder why am putting it on my blogs when I want it to be a surprise. I am typing this blog on my flight to Tennessee. I will not publish it until Monday.

I have been getting this question from almost everyone who reads my blog. “Why did you name it Artificial Dragon?” I am a big Guild Wars fan. My characters name in GW is Artificial Dragon. For those of you, who don’t know what it is, check out www.guildwars.com. It is an online RPG. I would rather call it online RPGG (Role Playing Great Game)J.

P.S: I guess it is alright to write a P.S in a blog. My flight got delayed again because the cabin crew forgot to get water into the flight. These silly reasons annoy me a lot.

Didn't get the Job

I did not get the job just because the company does not sponsor Visa. What crap!!! Anyways I deserve something better. Manager's comments:
"Karthik tops the list but I didn't know that our company policy does not allow sponsoring visas". I shouldn't blame her cuz she tried her best to convice the HR (atleast from what I saw on the email thread).
The company just merged with another company, this manager is new under this umbrella.
